I originally got interested in photography in the early seventies when I purchased a Canon SLR with a selection of lenses. This inspired me to joint my local photo club (Fotoklub Zillertal) giving me the confidence to work on improving my photographic skills.
Being brought up in the early part of my life in the Austrian Alps exposed me to some of the world most magnificent landscapes, this has installed in me a preference for landscape photography.
Even after moving with my family to the United Kingdom in the late eighties I continued with my passion for landscape photography then moving slowly started to experiment with other styles of photography.
After settling in the north east of England I proceeded to build a darkroom which to this day is my sanctuary. Due to the progression of digital photography over the last few years I have been experimenting with the Nikon D70.
My other tools of trade are the Nikon F3, Nikon F5 and the Mamiya RB 67, I use the medium format cameras for high quality photo.
The Mamiya is so large and cumbersome to travel with that I use the 35mm format for ease of commuting
My web site is my hobby in progress so any comments or constructive criticisms are always welcome as this will allow me to gage other points of view.
